Job Summary
Read project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to guide welding tasks. Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding on stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum using plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools. Ensure work meets quality standards while following safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE. Clean and maintain the work area and equipment daily. Work outdoors in various weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. Must pass a welding test.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must pass a welding test
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
- The ability to stand for long periods of time
- The ability to work in various weather conditions
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
