Job Summary
Read project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to guide welding tasks. Perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding on stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum using plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools. Ensure work meets safety standards and quality requirements while wearing appropriate PPE. Clean and maintain the work area and equipment. This role involves working outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold, with potential exposure to loud noises, dust, and debris. Candidates must lift objects up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must pass a welding test
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred
