Job Summary
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to perform welding tasks on various metals including stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum. Execute MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding while using plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools. Ensure all work meets quality standards, follows established safety procedures, and includes wearing appropriate PPE. Clean and maintain the work area and equipment daily. This role involves working outdoors in various extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold, with exposure to loud noises, dust, and debris. Candidates must pass a welding test and possess strong physical endurance to lift objects up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must pass a welding test
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred
