Job Summary
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to perform welding tasks on stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum. Execute MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding while using plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools. Maintain a safe work environment by following procedures, wearing PPE, and cleaning the area. Work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, and cold, while lifting objects up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods. Must pass a welding test and hold AWS or ASME certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must pass a welding test
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred
