Job Summary
Perform TIG welding (GTAW) on stainless steel according to blueprints and shop orders; complete basic grinding, deburring, and polishing; inspect materials and finished parts for quality standards; operate equipment such as forklifts and shop tools; maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace; follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers) for fabrication and finishing of stainless steel. Work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Preferred skills include electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, or plumbing; experience with overhead cranes and shop equipment. Must be reliable with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years TIG welding experience (stainless steel preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers)
- Experience with fabrication and finishing stainless steel
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
