Job Summary
Fabricate air and water pollution control systems by prep and fit metal components, then weld them into assemblies using supplied manufacturing drawings and bill of materials. Modify minor assemblies and maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safe work practices, accuracy, compliance, and schedule. Perform duties similar in nature and level as assigned, including reading fabrication drawings and operating metal shop tools such as grinders, drills, and press brakes. Lift equipment up to 75 lbs and operate forklifts as needed. This role requires proficiency in TIG and MIG welding on carbon and stainless steel, with candidates expected to perform weld coupons and hold AWS and ASME certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Capable of reading and comprehending fabrication drawings and bill of materials.
- 1+ years of welding or fabrication experience.
- Ability to speak clearly and follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group / team environment.
- Demonstrate welding proficiency for TIG and MIG process on carbon steel and stainless steel.
- Ability to Certify in AWS and ASME.
- Working knowledge of typical metal shop tools and machinery including but not limited to: grinder, drill, band saw, lathe, shear, press brake, etc.
- Capable of lifting equipment up to 75 lbs.
- Forklift operation experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
- Concentrated mental and/or visual attention.
- Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of forces constantly to move objects.
- Compliance with company attendance standards.
