Job Summary
Perform production welding on joist products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Read and interpret weld symbols on shop drawings and blueprints; ensure all welds are complete and of good quality, repairing welds as necessary. Maintain a positive, clean, and orderly work area, participate in daily cleaning and maintenance, and operate safely. Perform other related duties such as steel scrap removal and general production tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of welding experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret weld symbols on shop drawings and blueprints
- Ability to pass welding observation
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
- Ability to maintain safe and productive work environment
