Job Summary
Design, weld, and fabricate metal parts and components using MIG and TIG techniques while performing fit-up, assembly, and routine quality control checks. Prepare welding surfaces, read and interpret technical prints, and make basic adjustments to welding equipment as required. Maintain shop safety standards and follow all established regulations during moderate supervision. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, with physical demands including lifting up to 75 lbs and constant standing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience
- Technical school
- Ability to pass one (1) weld certification
- Ability to lift, carry, push & pull up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand; constant standing upright
- Ability to stoop; frequently bending body downward and forward
- Ability to reach; frequently extending hands or arms
- Ability to handle; frequently seizing, holding, grasping, turning
- Ability to finger; frequently picking, pinching
- Ability to feel; occasionally noting attributes of objects
- Ability to hear; constantly perceiving the nature of sounds
- Near acuity vision; constant clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to respond to visual and aural cues
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to pass a background investigation
- Must pass a drug screening

- Ability to work with moderate supervision
- Ability to perform at MIG and TIG weld techniques
- Demonstrate ability to properly prepare welding surface
- Responsible for the design, welding, and fabrication of routine and occasionally complex metal parts and components

- Ability to make basic adjustments to welding equipment as required
- Ability to read and understand prints and welding symbols
