Job Summary
Welder responsible for welding, fabrication, cutting, fitting, and brazing metal pieces and products using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment; operates a drill press and performs all duties safely and on time while upholding quality standards and company values. Reads, interprets, and executes to engineering drawings (prints). Repairs and fabricates items using cutting, burning, and welding techniques (0.35 hard wire). Monitors welding and fitting processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion. Prepares, assembles, and tack welds parts; maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area. Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or materials. Participates in safety initiatives and follows policies. May perform other related duties. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; welding apprenticeship preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Welding certification from an accredited institution preferred. Experience: Minimum of 6 months welding experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment preferred. Must pass drug test and physical; able to work overtime; strong reading, writing, and communication skills; able to work independently and in a team; safety-minded and detail-oriented.
