Job Summary
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using hand welding equipment to join metal products or fill defects. Verify parts for consistency and monitor quality to ensure welds meet specifications. Examine work pieces for defects and measure them with straightedges or templates to confirm conformance with specifications. Review and interpret engineer change requests, submitting improvements when needed. Operate hand and power tools while understanding hourly production goals and required piece counts. Stand and work on feet for full 8-10-hour shifts, lifting and moving parts up to 50 lbs. Full-time schedule includes 40 hours weekly with potential overtime; role involves exposure to noise, fumes, and UV radiation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Technical certificate or vocational training in welding or equivalent of experience

- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. parts or fixtures
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach overhead to weld and/or move product in and out of fixtures
- Must be able to stand and work on your feet for an entire shift (8-10hrs)
- Must be able to work in safety sensitive role, fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of drugs or alcohol, including prescribed or over the counter drugs or other substances which may alter job performance during working times (e.g., drowsiness, impaired reflexes or reaction time, lack of concentration, etc.)
