Job Summary
Perform hand and machine fusion welding (Mig and Tig) operations to construct powder containers, including grinding, polishing, and cleaning parts for fabrication. Execute routine maintenance on equipment with little to no supervision to optimize uptime, and seal prepared cans for shipment. Maintain compliance with company rules, EH&S initiatives, and personal protective equipment requirements while solving minor fabrication and equipment issues. Requires a high school diploma, one year of relevant experience, and the ability to work alone with basic computer skills and shop mathematics. Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum of 1 year relevant experience
- strong attendance record
- excellent interpersonal communication skills
- ability to work hours outside of the regular shift
- good mechanical aptitude
- ability to wear a respirator
- Clear understanding of shop mathematics involving decimals and fractions
- working knowledge of fusion welding processes and terminology
- Ability to work alone with little to no supervision
- Ability to problem solve minor fabrication & equipment issues
- Must be able to ascend, descend stairs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to twist
- Must be able to reach overhead
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
