Job Summary
Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal/steel components on trailers according to SOPs, blueprints, and foreman instructions. Operate angle grinders to prepare parts, set up components using fixtures and measuring tools, and weld using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions. Inspect welds and test welded surfaces to ensure quality standards and discover flaws while maintaining a clean environment and following 5S safety standards. Assist other welders to ensure efficient completion of work. Perform duties in a fast-paced environment requiring lifting 50 lbs and working in awkward positions for up to 10 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess the skill set to support a safe working environment
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in awkward positions while bending, stooping, kneeling or standing to work overhead for 10 hrs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred - High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college
- Preferred – 2 to 3 years of Industrial Welding experience
