Welder

Execute all position welding following prescribed procedures, including preparing, assembling, and tacking weld parts while reading assemblies and blueprints. Position fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures, using turning rigs and overhead cranes as necessary. Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, or shrinkage. Maintain safety, quality, and production with limited supervision, performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment and following all documented procedures. Cross train to fill in as necessary in other departments and perform any additional tasks requested by the Team Leader.
