Job Summary
Fabricate components using cutting, MIG and TIG welding, drilling, and related processes; read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to ensure components meet customer requirements; set up and adjust welding machines for various material types and thicknesses; inspect welds to meet quality standards; assemble parts ranging from small components to medium-sized bodies; maintain a safe work area and collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet production timelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a vocational/technical welding program or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3–5 years of welding experience in a fabrication environment
- Ability to read and work from blueprints (read weld symbols; interpret specifications)
- Strong MIG welding skills in steel and aluminum; TIG welding experience preferred (stainless MIG/TIG a plus)
- Understanding of welding and fabrication safety practices
