Job Summary
Weld and fabricate precision instrumentation devices while repairing instruments as needed. Participate in lean events, design reviews, cost reductions, cycle time savings, and training. Follow established quality and safety standards and approved processes to ensure finished goods meet quality and on-time delivery targets. Maintain an organized work environment and interact daily with production coordinators to communicate progress and receive instructions. Perform all other assignments as requested by management. Requires 3+ years of relevant experience, high school diploma, and ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, production drawings, schematics and blow-up diagrams
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to interpret and manipulate computer software programs
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to take and understand measurements in millimeters
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in welding withing tight tolerances
