Job Summary
Conduct MIG and TIG welding of aluminum and stainless steel parts to fabricate tanks for truck chassis, utilizing Miller and Lincoln equipment. Perform hand plasma cutting, fit assemblies, and execute tubing and fitting welding while maintaining strict cosmetic quality standards. Read blueprints, operate lifting and standard fabrication tools, and perform quality checks on finished assemblies. Complete 30-45 minute confined space welding tasks with 20-25% weld time allocation. Adhere to all safety policies and maintain clean work areas. SkyMark Refuelers manufactures custom work trucks for aviation refueling and liquid waste removal industries.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Diploma or Certificate of welding school or at least one year of equivalent work experience welding similar materials using GTAW/GMAW process
- Proven experience in conducting quality inspections
- Strategic thinker and strong analytical skills
- Good eye for detail and understand quality levels set for tank construction
- Analyze problems, detect root causes and resolve all issues
- Excellent time management, planning, organization and prioritization skills
- Self-motivator with solid interpersonal skills, achievement oriented
- Be aware of Health and Safety standards and their implication in the workplace
- PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word
- Welding with quality and attention to cosmetic detail is a MUST
