Job Summary
Fabricate and assemble metal structures using MIG welding, cutting, shaping, and measuring tools while reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings. Execute overhead, horizontal, vertical, and continuous welds with precision, properly calibrating equipment and ensuring components are fitted and aligned before welding. Operate machinery, tools, and overhead cranes safely to meet production targets, maintaining a clean, debris-free work area and adhering to safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices. Willing to cross-train and perform other duties as required by the Production Foreman.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree in a related field or three or more years of comparable manufacturing experience deemed valid by the employer
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a welding test as part of the hiring process
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred certification in blueprint reading or equivalent coursework
- Preferred prior experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to perform high-quality welding in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
