Job Summary
Welding tasks on HVAC units using arc welder, electrode rods, and an oxygen/acetylene torch; performs tack and bead welds, cuts metal with torch, grinds and bevels, fits metals, and removes slag; selects appropriate electrodes, regulates current and time; rotates through weld area and adheres to safety and lean manufacturing practices; operates hand and power tools and may perform additional duties as needed; maintains a safe, productive work area and communicates effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 1-2 years’ experience as a manufacturing worker, welder, or related position preferred
- Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processes preferred
