Job Summary
Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate techniques and using various welding devices. Regulate machine settings for proper weld current, wire feed, and gas flow. Join steel or aluminum pieces by heating to fusion temperatures, ensuring fit, function, and cosmetics meet quality expectations. Remove weld imperfections, record labor and downtime data, and complete assigned tasks from team leaders. Maintain safety regulations and attend required training. Work 1st and 3rd shifts in an active, fast-paced environment at Rogers Group in Clare, MI.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) year welding experience
- Must possess basic math skills
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language
- Ability to communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to solve practical problems
- Frequent manual and finger dexterity
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, crouch, or kneel
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
