Job Summary
Welder - 3rd Shift in Raymond, MS. Position involves positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding metal components according to design drawings and tolerances. Duties include selecting appropriate torch, tip, filler rod, and flux; connecting regulators to oxygen and fuel gas; maintaining flame and gas flow; welding in bench or jig setups; examining welds for bead size and specifications; repairing damaged parts; laying out, tack-welding, and welding on vertical/overhead positions; grinding and cleaning parts; and handling additional duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; welding certificate is preferred. Starting rate is $28.75/hour with advancement opportunities; shift is 10pm-6am, Monday-Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Welding certificate preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment
- Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, and divide) in all units
- Welding experience relevant to role
- Possession or ability to obtain welding certification (preferred)
