Job Summary
Production Welders operate MIG and pulse welding equipment to produce high-quality metal components that meet production standards and customer specifications. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are welded accurately, follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and control plans, set up and adjust welding equipment, conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting, and inspect finished welds with calipers, weld gauges, and tape measures. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines. 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM, 4-day week) with a $3/hour shift differential and a $1,500 hiring bonus. Skills in MIG and pulse welding, blueprint reading, WPS compliance, equipment setup, measurement and inspection tools, and safety prioritization are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of welding experience preferred
- Ability to pass a 3G Vertical Up weld test using .035 solid wire with pulse welding
- Basic understanding of blueprints and welding specifications
- Experience with MIG and pulse welding processes
- Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment
- Experience using inspection and measuring tools
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
