Job Summary
Prepare metals, weld parts, and finish products according to design plans using MIG, TIG, and GMAW techniques on steel and carbon materials. Grind and clean welds with manual and power tools while reading blueprints to ensure accurate assembly. Assist team members and departments as needed. This full-time temp-to-hire role in Decatur, TX, requires standing and walking 8 to 12 hours daily, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a noisy, non-climate-controlled environment. Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months of GMAW welding experience or formal training
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read blueprints and pass a hands-on welding test prior to job offer
- Ability to pass visual acuity and blueprint reading tests within 30 days of hire
- Must speak and understand English
- Steel-toe boots required
