Job Summary
Operate MIG welders on the 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm) in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include monitoring welding, burning, and fitting processes to prevent part warping or distortion; examining work pieces against specifications; setting up and using hand and power tools; reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and material safety data sheets to plan welding operations; welding pieces individually or in combination; moving raw materials with forklifts and pallet jacks; following OSHA and internal safety standards; and performing other duties as required. Requires High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, 1 year of welding experience (Mig welding steel) and basic math/reading of schematics. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with a variety of metals; willingness to work in a production environment and contribute to a team that prioritizes quality and customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- 1 year minimum verifiable welding experience and/or Technical Diploma
- Must have experience Mig welding Steel
- Ability to read schematics (blue prints) and engineering drawings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to follow safety procedures and OSHA standards
- Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
- Team-oriented and able to perform administrative/procedural decisions
