Job Summary
Welder I on 2nd shift responsible for assembling parts for welding, setting up the welding process, drilling, grinding, tack/bench welds and welding sheet metal; must read blueprints and schematic diagrams, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and follow work orders and instructions. Requires ability to read tape measures and blueprints, operate hand and power tools, and work overtime as needed; 2nd shift runs four 10-hour days with occasional overtime. Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree in Welding or a Certified Welder certification; previous welding experience required; ability to obtain a welding certificate with Pierce Manufacturing.
