Job Summary
Execute MIG welding on stainless steel and TIG welding on aluminum in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Examine welds for bead size and specifications, inspect finished workpieces for conformance, and repair broken or cracked parts by grooving, scarfing, or filling holes. Read blueprints and drawings, cut metal plates, and assemble workpieces using clamps or fixtures. Operate forklifts and cranes, load/unload trucks, and perform basic machine maintenance. Pass employer performance tests to meet governmental certification standards. Schedule Monday through Thursday, 5:30am to 4:00pm, with overtime and Friday availability as needed. Pay range $25.00 to $30.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Welding Certified
- 4+ years of MIG welding experience on stainless steel
- 4+ years of TIG welding experience on aluminum
- Ability to pass a weld test for MIG with stainless steel
- On the job experience required for weld test
- Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications
- Knowledge of industry safety practices
- Leadership skills
- Knowledge of specific welding processes, specifically MIG
- Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes
- Must be available for overtime
- Must be available for Fridays
- Must pass a drug & background screen
- Must be available for Monday - Thursday, 5:30am to 4:00pm
