Job Summary
Cut and join metals and materials using MIG, TIG, and other welding procedures based on project needs. Read blueprints and drawings, align components with callipers and rulers, and clamp pieces according to specifications. Maintain equipment in safe operating condition, inspect welded surfaces for flaws, and report machine damages. Work full-time from 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday onsite, with overtime common. Lift 40-50lbs and work in confined areas while wearing protective gear.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a welder or schooling
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards
- Willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Positive attitude
- Must be able to lift 40-50lbs
- Must be able to work in awkward positions
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED preferred
- Professional certification is a plus
