Job Summary

Perform in and out of position welding and hand fabricating while operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists. Execute quality checks, tests, and problem-solving activities using 5-S and lean methods. Maintain tools, read electronic work instructions, and communicate with cross-functional departments to ensure timely production line delivery. Work any shift, including overtime, and crosstrain within and outside assigned areas. Use all required personal protective equipment and comply with plant rules and policies. Complete formal welding program or equivalent experience, including proficiency testing for required processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of formal welding program or equivalent on the job experience
  • Required Weld Process: 2F, 2G
  • Completion of company approved proficiency test prior to employment
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Ability to read, write, and follow directions, standard work, job breakdown sheets, and safety instructions in English
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
  • Independently capable of lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 35lbs
  • Physical mobility within the work facility, including repetitive bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, gripping and/or stooping
  • Ability to work at heights both on ladders and lifts as required, while using proper fall protection
  • Work any shift and work overtime as necessary to ensure that production demands are met
  • Use all required personal protective equipment
  • Comply with all established plant rules and policies

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred Weld Process: 3F, 3G, 4F, 4G
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
  • Participate in weld lab classroom training for Trane and ASME/PED certifications as needed
  • Basic functional knowledge of computers and ability to read and acknowledge work instructions electronically
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional departments to ensure parts are brought to the production line in a timely manner
  • Must participate in basic problem solving, 5-S, and lean activities
  • Maintain and inspect tools and equipment and escalate issues as necessary
  • Crosstrain both within and outside the assigned production area
