Job Summary
Operate welding equipment to fuse aluminum, steel, and galvanneal components while interpreting blueprints for pinpoint precision. Prepare materials using heavy equipment like saws, manage machine setup and maintenance, and inspect every weld for defects to ensure top-tier quality standards. Apply multiple welding techniques and earn certifications, while strictly adhering to safety policies and promoting a safety-focused environment. This 1st shift role requires passing a weld test, proficiency in mild steel and galvanneal materials, and at least six months of welding experience. You will stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 pounds, and perform repetitive hand tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing plant. Required Qualifications
- Must successfully pass a weld test to demonstrate skill and quality
- Proficient in welding mild steel and galvanneal materials
- Minimum of 6 months welding experience or completion of welding school training
- Solid grasp of basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills essential for precision
- Basic experience with hand tools to support welding tasks
- Able to accurately understand and apply measurements on the job
- Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints for specialized welding applications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED required
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to use hands to operate tools and equipment with precision
- Must be able to talk and listen as part of a safety-focused, team-driven environment
- Must be able to perform physical movements like bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and occasionally crawling in tight spaces
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand tasks
- Must be able to climb ladders or work at heights
