Welder - 1st Shift

Job Summary
Perform MIG welding, layout, tacking, and fabrication in accordance with product specifications, CWB, and DIN6700 standards. Read blueprints and diagrams to guide assembly tasks while utilizing pneumatic tools, grinders, shears, and heavy equipment like forklifts and cranes. Process inspection, certification, and documentation for all work completed. Maintain welding equipment and adhere to safe workplace practices. Requires CWB certification (or ability to obtain), minimum two years in manufacturing, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs individually. Reports to Production Supervisor or Charge Hand.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce high quality products in a timely manner
- Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measure, calipers, forklifts, and cranes
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team lift
- Knowledge of safe workplace practices
- CWB welding certification
- Must be able to obtain CWB certification
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of fixturing and assembly techniques
- Proficient in the use of tools such as tape measures, hammers, levels, squares, manual and power tools, forklifts, and cranes
- Use pneumatic tools, grinders, and shears
- Process inspection, certification, and documentation
- Welding equipment maintenance
- Work in accordance with CWB & DIN6700 welding standards
