Job Summary
Perform MIG welding to join metal parts while inspecting welds and finishing surfaces to meet quality standards. Execute production tasks by following process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor instructions, and inspect finished work against predetermined tolerances. Maneuver large or heavy parts manually or with crane assistance, and maintain machines and workspaces in compliance with safety protocols. Assist in cross-functional areas as assigned to support production needs. Work the 1st shift Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, consistently standing for the full duration in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Required Qualifications
- MIG Welding Experience: Prior experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical schooling
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components
- Ability to work scheduled hours
- Ability to consistently stand for the entire duration of the shift in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Basic oral communication skills
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
- Ability to complete basic logs and reports in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Flux Core welding
- Familiarity with grinding tools, drill presses, and ironwork
- General mechanical knowledge
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and contribute as a team player
- Demonstrates accuracy and reliability in all tasks
