Job Summary
Welder - 1st Shift performing welding preparation, reading weld blueprints and engineered drawings, setting up welding machines for specific materials and positions, and inspecting welds with gauges. Responsibilities include following work orders, using fixtures and a weld positioner, dimensional inspection of welds, maintaining safe work practices, completing required documentation, and complying with MB Aerospace policies. Requires high school diploma or GED, 1 year of basic welding/metallurgy knowledge, and computer skills including Excel; on-site in Warren, MI for first shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 1 year of solid general computer skills (Excel)
- 1 year of basic welding and metallurgy
- Read, interpret, and process work instructions
- Capable of using standard bench tools and gauges (calipers, height gauges, micrometers, microscopes)
- Capable of operating computer-controlled machines and making program adjustments
- Cut, polish, etch and evaluate samples; maintain process control documents
- Complete logs, check sheets, job orders, and other paperwork
- Preventive maintenance of EB weld machine and related systems
- Support Welding Engineers in development of process schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
- Must have a valid US Passport
