Job Summary
Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and diagrams to perform MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored welding on various metals including stainless steel, galvanized steel, and aluminum. Ensure work meets quality standards while following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE. Use tools such as plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools to complete tasks, clean and maintain the work area, and perform other duties as assigned. This role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold, with exposure to loud noises, dust, and debris. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and pass a welding test.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Welder
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Must pass a welding test
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Welding certification (such as AWS or ASME) preferred
