Job Summary
Welder 1 at Philips/ Latham, NY onsite role performing precise TIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel, and operating a robotic welding cell. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, monitoring and adjusting the robotic system to ensure welds meet quality standards, routine maintenance, cutting/bending/drilling/tapping for cryogenic assemblies, reading drawings and supporting documents, and using precision instruments. The role supports 3rd shift (11:20pm–7:30am) with in-person collaboration three days per week in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years welding experience
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to create TIG and MIG welds
- ability to perform vacuum leak tight TIG welds on aluminum
- experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks
- ability to read and follow documentation
