Job Summary
Weld metal parts and assemblies for truck beds using MIG, TIG, and arc welding; interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to select welding methods and materials; set up and operate welding equipment; inspect welds for quality and conformance; maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow safety procedures; collaborate with fabricators, assemblers, and quality control to ensure efficient workflow and product quality; perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and participate in continuous-improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to welding operations
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Welding certification or relevant vocational training is preferred
