Weld Technician

Set up and operate welding equipment to produce and inspect welded assemblies, supporting fabrication and assembly operations while meeting quality, safety, and productivity standards. Perform MIG welding, resistance welding, spot welding, fabrication, assembly, finishing, and related manufacturing processes; verify documentation, tooling, safety equipment, and work instructions before starting production; inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, weld quality, alignment, surface finish, and overall workmanship; identify and report defects and nonconforming products; maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S; support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives; participate in production reporting and timekeeping in company systems. Qualifications include 1–3 years of welding and manufacturing experience, MIG welding and fabrication proficiency, ability to read blueprints, strong attention to detail, basic math, and good communication and teamwork.
