Job Summary
Welding Technician responsible for installation of welding equipment from a standalone welder to multiple robotic welding systems; identify and implement improvements to weld quality, troubleshoot weld issues, and develop weld schedules for production lines. Role involves setting up welding on the plant floor for initial customer parts, validating weld processes and guns, monitoring weld gun designs, and coordinating with design houses and automation teams. Requires experience with welding processes (resistance and arc), robotic welding systems, proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel, and strong communication skills to ensure quality products and adherence to ISO standards. Also includes training automation personnel on new equipment, supporting Continuous Improvements, and ensuring safe, compliant operations on site.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering Degree
- Minimum two years welding experience
- Knowledge of welding processes (resistance and arc welding)
- Experience with welding parameters and robotic welding systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and AutoCAD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in team and independently
- Ability to follow ISO standards and safety procedures
