Job Summary
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts to blueprints in a machine shop; perform deburring, polishing and finishing to meet aerospace quality standards; operate grinders, sanders, air-powered grinders and press brakes; inspect completed work for compliance with aerospace requirements; maintain a clean, safe 5S workspace; monitor machine operations and measure parts with inspection tools, making adjustments under minimal supervision; collaborate with team across shop areas.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace sheet metal fabrication and deburring processes.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and work orders.
- Manual dexterity to handle small, delicate parts alongside standard measuring tools.
- Vision requirements: Corrected near and far vision of 20/30 in both eyes.
