Job Summary
Weld Quality Inspector responsible for ensuring factory parts/products meet design intent and customer expectations. Responsibilities include verifying adherence to Standard Work, writing reports, collecting data on nonconformances, confirming functional testing during startup, and communicating quality updates to the engineering team and management. Must interpret assembly, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic prints and schematics (including GDT), use inspection tools (go/no-go gauges, thread gauges, calipers, tape), and assess paint quality with A-B-C surface methods and related tools. Inspect welds using size gauges, liquid penetrant, and magnetic particle methods; ensure tool calibration and compliance with QMS. Collaborate with supervisors and production to deliver quality service, perform basic root cause analysis on defects, and support process control and quality updates throughout manufacturing. The role is based in Murfreesboro, TN with a Monday–Thursday schedule (four 10-hour days) from 6:00 am–4:30 pm, offering competitive pay starting at $21.32/hour plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Six (6) months of applicable position experience or an evaluated equivalent.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read blueprints with GDT Tolerancing.
- Ability to use Coordinate Measurement Systems and 3-D Scanners.
