Weld Cell Operator

Job Summary

Set up and operate robotic and manual welding equipment, performing changeovers including fixture swaps, program selection, and wire replacement. Load components into fixtures, monitor performance, and troubleshoot minor tooling or process issues while communicating concerns to supervision. Conduct in-process and final inspections using calipers, GO/NO-GO gauges, and other measuring devices to verify compliance with customer specifications and internal standards. Complete production, quality, and operational documentation in the ERP system, accurately recording quantities, scrap, and downtime. Stop production when nonconforming products are identified and positively control nonconformance by notifying Quality Assurance. Maintain a clean, organized work environment following 5S standards and OSHA requirements while wearing required PPE.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout a scheduled shift
  • Ability to safely work around robotic welding equipment, moving machinery, and industrial manufacturing processes
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe footwear, welding sleeves, and other protective equipment as required
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, sparks, welding fumes, and varying temperatures

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment or welding equipment
