Job Summary
Join, fabricate, and repair metal including carbon, stainless steel, and aluminum by applying appropriate welding techniques while maintaining Freedman Seating quality standards. Read blueprints and job procedures to determine the welding process, perform basic fit-up operations, and measure weldments using quality control equipment. Inspect completed welds for structural soundness, meet minimum production requirements, and abide by OSHA and FSC safety rules. Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment wearing typical protection gear against dust, odors, and noise. This full-time hourly position on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- MIG (GMAW) welding of carbon steel
- Ability to interpret welding blueprints and call-outs
- Ability to read English
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- One or more years of experience preferred and/or combination of education and experience
- Technical Diploma in Welding
