Job Summary
Analyze freight daily to ensure correct classifications and weights, verifying measurements through the AS400/SAP system database. Measure, reweigh, and confirm freight charges while maintaining compliance with company and government regulations. Process all correspondence related to the local Weight and Research program and encourage the reweigh initiative among employees. Monitor emails throughout the day to follow up with customers or staff, ensuring a positive reputation for the service center. Increase revenue by maintaining a specific percentage of inspected freight and striving for continuous improvement in operations. Work any shift determined by business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong operational background and knowledge, preferably in the trucking industry
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work any shift which will be determine by business needs
- Comprehends and ensures compliance with company and government regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with rating or inspections preferred
