Job Summary
Weight Room Supervisor at a high school: supervise the weight room after school, provide age- and skill-appropriate training and coaching to students, teach rules and safety, promote multi-sport participation, supervise student behavior, assist in scheduling events and logistics, ensure safety of student athletes, supervise assistants and volunteers, manage equipment and inventory, maintain eligibility and sport records, follow WIAA regulations and district policies, participate in fundraising, and maintain knowledge of sport techniques and coaching requirements; requires knowledge of the sport, coaching skills, communication, organization, and CPR/First Aid/AED certification; minimum age 21 per WIAA regulations; position categorized as Extra-Curricular / 1.0 FTE with potential college degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Formal training in the specific sport as per WIAA requirements including current CPR/first aid/AED card
- College degree, preferred
- Three years of successful experience as a head or varsity coach at the high school level, college level or professional level or other comparable experience, preferred
