Job Summary
Weighmaster position near Fort Smith in a safety-sensitive role for Kemp Quarries, responsible for weighing trucks on the scale, generating scale tickets, coordinating delivery schedules, dispatching haulers, and maintaining accurate data entry for orders and inventory. Requires strong communication, scheduling and logistics skills, proficiency with computer data entry, cash handling, attention to safety rules, and the ability to work in a team or alone. Duties include recording orders from customers, updating master files, answering product availability questions, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring timely, accurate information for customers regarding shipment status and order details. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service in a union-friendly, equal-opportunity environment.
Required Qualifications
- Very reliable work attendance (M - F, 5:00am - 4:00pm); Occasional Saturdays possible
- Capable of working either individually or within small work groups
- Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills
- Excellent social skills
- Possess good phone skills
- Experience in operating computers and utilizing computer programs
- Capable of performing the physical, mental and emotional requirements of the job
- Must be able to accurately make change for cash sales and reconcile petty cash daily
