Job Summary
Mobile Pet Groomer responsible for driving a state-of-the-art Mercedes Sprinter van within the Fairfield area of CT to provide professional grooming services (bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling) for dogs and cats, while ensuring pet safety and owner satisfaction. Responsibilities include assessing coat condition and skin health, educating owners on home care, maintaining van cleanliness and supplies, scheduling and managing appointments, and delivering high-quality grooming with excellent customer service. Requires proven grooming experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work weekends; certification from a grooming school is highly desirable. Commission and tips accompany compensation; equal-opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a professional pet groomer with knowledge of grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and coat types
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Passion for working with animals and ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer service
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality grooming services
- Ability to work independently and manage time to meet appointments
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional extended hours
- Certification from a reputable grooming school or similar qualification (highly desirable)
