Job Summary
Volleyball Official needed for weekend, part-time contractor roles in the South Inland Empire. Enforce i9 Sports rulebook, serve as on-court coach, and promote sportsmanship. Responsibilities include enforcing rules, setting up/breaking down equipment, keeping time and score, assisting volunteer coaches, and maintaining a positive, customer-focused environment. Requirements include 2+ years of officiating/playing/coaching, reliable transportation, strong communication, flexibility for weekend/evening schedules, a smartphone, and passing a background check. Compensation is paid per game; earnings vary with games worked each week. Travel to multiple rotating venues (Eastvale, Norco, Corona, Riverside, Chino Hills, Jurupa Valley) in the South Cluster. Position is part-time contractor for approximately 7 weeks per season.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, and spectators
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
- Must have a smartphone with internet capability
- Successful completion of a National Criminal Background Check is required
