Job Summary
Weekend Basketball Official for i9 Sports responsible for enforcing game rules, teaching sportsmanship, and creating a safe, engaging environment for youth athletes. Duties include setting up and breaking down equipment, keeping accurate time and score, adapting instruction by age group, delivering exceptional customer service to players, families, and staff, and supporting volunteer coaches with drills and team activities. This is a part-time contractor role with flexible weekend schedules and rotating seasonal venues across the South Inland Empire (Eastvale, Norco, Corona, Riverside, Chino Hills, Jurupa Valley).
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a National Criminal Background Check
- Possess at least 2 years of experience as a player, coach, or official in the specific sport
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently to address challenges
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and evenings, for the full season (approximately 7 weeks)
- Possess a smartphone with internet access
