Job Summary
Coordinate weekend baseball activities for i9 Sports, empower volunteer coaches, and oversee practices and game-day operations. Build relationships with players, parents, and coaches while ensuring instructional quality, safety, and sportsmanship. Responsibilities include observing, assessing, and assisting coaches; setting up and breaking down equipment; keeping time and score; and ensuring a positive, customer-service oriented experience across all age groups and skill levels. Requires 2+ years in sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching, reliable transportation within the South Inland Empire cluster, background check clearance, and availability on weekends/evenings. Independent contractor compensated by a game-rate structure with weekly earnings based on games completed.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable transportation to and from venue workplace
- At least 2 years of sport-specific officiating, playing, or coaching experience
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
- Must have a smartphone with internet capability
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
