Job Summary
Weekend Surgical Technologist in the operating room setting responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment; maintains sterile field and passes instruments to the surgeon; gowns and gloves the surgical team, drapes sterile field, performs instrument counts, prepares sterile dressings, and assists in room prep and terminal sterilization; supports the care plan for patients under the surgical team and adheres to MHS Standards of Excellence; position offers flex schedule (0.6) with 48 hours biweekly and requires completion of a Surgical Technology program with certification eligibility within one year, plus BLS and RQI compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Surgical Technology program and certified as a Surgical Technologist or 3 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist and willing to obtain certification within one year of employment.
- BLS certification required.
- Maintains compliance in RQI required.
