Job Summary
Weekend Supervisor role at Oak Lawn Park District overseeing facility rentals and supervision of events, front desk support, and maintenance assistance. Responsibilities include helping guests locate rooms, setup and cleanup, monitoring rentals and shows, resolving conflicts, supporting part-time recreation and front desk staff, and occasional visits to satellite facilities. The position requires customer service, communication, decision-making, organization, ability to learn Rec Trac 3.1, a valid driver’s license, and weekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays, 10AM–8PM), with 12–16 hours per week. Must be 21+ and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working both indoors and outdoors as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older
- Basic computer skills
- ability to learn Rec Trac 3.1
- able to work independently
- excellent customer service, communication and decision making skills
- strong organizational habits
- valid driver’s license
- able to oversee facility rentals and assist guests with rooms, setup, cleanup, and monitoring
- assist with conflict resolution
- support staff for part time recreation, front desk, and maintenance
- assist front desk during high traffic periods with registrations, daily visits, customer service and memberships
- visit satellite facilities to assist with rentals and possibly cleaning
- provide onsite supervision of small trade shows, expos, and tournaments
- enforce code of conduct/rules and respond to issues (scheduling, rentals, customer service, maintenance)
- communicate issues with program supervisors
- able to go up on the catwalk and assist with “electric drops” for special events
- hours 12-16 per week
- Saturday and Sunday 10AM – 8PM
- physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to read, write, and organize materials
