Job Summary
Weekend Supervisor role (LPN or RN) responsible for supervising the day-to-day nursing activities during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun, 7a-11p) to ensure the highest quality care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. Requires active Florida RN or LPN license, CPR, nursing degree, and at least one year of supervisory experience in a hospital or long-term care setting. Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills; commitment to compliance with federal/state/local standards; ability to make independent decisions and supervise other personnel. Must pass AHCA background screening.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active license to practice as RN or LPN in Florida
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or healthcare facility
- Knowledge of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines for long-term care facilities
- Ability to provide care appropriate to age-related needs of residents
- Leadership and supervisory ability with teamwork
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, policies and procedures for quality care
- Willingness to handle difficult residents with patience and tact
- Willingness to seek out new methods and principles in nursing practices
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care facility
- AHCA background screening clearance
